Brucejack Mine British Columbia

Brucejack Mine is located north of Stewart in Northern British Columbia. Contracted to begin work in early June of 2016, All-West Crane & Rigging supplied a 90 Ton and a 130 Ton Rough Terrain Crane as well as rented a 300 Ton RT. Then as the project moved on we purchased a new Tadano 15 Ton City Crane and rented one as well to meet the requirements of the project. We also supplied 40 highly trained operators to operate the General Contractors’ Overhead Cranes during the Main Mill construction phase. Our high level of safety and quality performance has proven to be a valuable addition to the Brucejack Mine construction.

Canada Safeway Roofing Project – Flynn Canada

Our 55-ton crane could be seen by drivers passing through Quesnel, British Columbia while All-West Crane & Rigging Ltd. worked with Flynn Canada on the roofing repairs done to our local Canada Safeway.

Biomass Plants

Location: Fort St James
Duration: April 2015 – October 2015
Location: Merritt
Duration: May 2015 – November 2015

All-West Crane & Rigging Ltd and RR Projects worked together to build and install multiple portions of the Biomass Plant Facilities constructed in both Fort St James and Merritt, BC.

The Biomass-fired Green Energy Projects, both owned by Fengate Capital Management Ltd. and Dalkia Canada Inc. are to produce 40 Mega-Watts of energy, which will be added into the BC Hydro grid under a BC Hydro purchase agreement.

Once finished, the Biomass Green Energy Projects will each consume approximately 200,000 tonnes annually of biomass fuel, mostly sawmill waste, to generate more than 285,000 MWh of renewable electricity per year. This is energy enough to power more than 40,000 homes each!

Northwest Transmission Line

Duration: January – October 2014

At the peak of construction, All-West Crane & Rigging supplied 12 cranes to assist in the construction of the Northwest Transmission Line, a 344 kilometer, 287 Kilowatt transmission line between Skeena Substation (near Terrace) and a new substation near Bob Quinn Lake, which All-West Crane & Rigging also helped to construct. The transmission line was needed to provide a reliable supply of clean power to potential industrial developments in the area, a secure interconnection point for clean generation projects, and to facilitate connecting the community of Iskut to the grid, so it doesn’t rely on diesel generation anymore.

Customer service and safety are the primary goals of All-West Crane & Rigging. When the transmission line client continued to require more lifting equipment, All-West Crane & Rigging responded by obtaining 4 new Link-Belt Rough Terrain cranes in rapid succession to complement our already existing fleet of Link-Belt cranes, and rented 2 additional cranes to facilitate an efficient and safe job-site. All-West Crane & rigging went so far as to hire an additional 8 highly qualified operators to satisfy the client’s needs. All of this took place within a four-week period, showing All-West Crane & Rigging’s ability to be flexible in responding to customer needs. With safety and efficiency in mind, All-West Crane & Rigging chose to purchase and rent only Link-Belt cranes because of their ease of mobilization and state of the art safety features.
